Annie designs her prints and patterns from a studio in rural Lincolnshire. Her work is inspired by natural forms of plants and creatures, the natural landscape and pattern.
Her process begins with sketching, drawing and planning, followed by watercolour drafts. After transferring a design to lino, she carves her lino blocks and prints the design. Some of the designs are carefully adapted to be printed by bespoke British manufacturers onto homewares and fabric.
Annie studied Art and Design in East Sussex, and later at degree level, discovering woodcut relief printmaking, linocut print and letterpress in the Print Room. She went on to design for book and magazine publishers in London but returned to printing after a move to the countryside.
